“I have to do it, baby, because I have to go and grow,” Goldberg said of thoughts on exiting after this season. “I got stuff to do. I got movies I need to direct.I got books I got to finish.”
Whoopi, who first appeared on the show in 2005 said, “This was great and I love doing it, but it’s been awhile and they’re in their 20th season. They did this without me.”
In August, The View announced Sara Haines had joined as new co-host of show, alongside Goldberg, Joy Behar, Candace Cameron Bure, Paula Faris and Raven-Symoné, all of whom returned this season. It marked one of the least dramatic season-to-season panelist sweep-outs of the topical daytime show’s past few seasons.
Let’s hope things change and Miss Goldberg reconsiders! We love you Whoopi!
