GLOBAL LYME ALLIANCE’S SECOND ANNUAL “UNITED FOR A LYME-FREE WORLD” GALA
Honoring Bella Hadid, Heather Glass, Arthur J. Mirante II and Karen Peetz
On Thursday, October 13, Global Lyme Alliance, the world’s leading organization dedicated to the research and eradication of Lyme and other tick-borne diseases, will hold its annual gala, “Uniting for a Lyme-Free World” in New York City. The evening will honor four individuals— Bella Hadid, International Supermodel; Heather Glass, Designer and Retail Executive; Arthur J. Mirante II, Principal and Tri-State President of Avison Young; and Karen Peetz, President of BNY Mellon. All four honorees have personal experiences with Lyme and tick-borne illness and are committed to playing an active role in finding a cure for the disease.
The gala will feature cocktails, dinner and awards ceremony, hosted by master of ceremonies Rosanna Scotto, the co-anchor of Fox 5’s “Good Day New York.” The evening will also feature special live performances by two Grammy Award-winning artists, David Foster and Rob Thomas. Celebrated event decorator, Lawrence Scott, is donating and designing the décor for the event.
A highlight of New York’s social calendar, Global Lyme Alliance’s inaugural gala raised nearly $3 million in charitable donations to help raise awareness of Lyme, which affects approximately 329,000 Americans each year. Funds raised through this year’s Gala will support critical research and educational programming on Lyme and other tick-borne diseases.
